From Ice to Ocean
South Coast & Glacier Walk
Private Day Tour from Reykjavík
This private journey follows Iceland’s South Coast, where glaciers, waterfalls, volcanoes, and the Atlantic Ocean shape one of the country’s most dramatic landscapes.
Travel east from Reykjavík past farmland and volcanic terrain toward the famous waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Both offer close views of powerful glacial water falling from ancient coastal cliffs.
Near the glaciers flowing from Mýrdalsjökull, guests join a guided glacier walk led by certified glacier guides. Equipped with safety gear, you step onto the ice itself and experience the glacier surface while learning about its formation and movement.
The tour continues to the black sand beach at Reynisfjara, known for its basalt columns, powerful Atlantic waves, and the sea stacks of Reynisdrangar.
A lunch stop is usually made in the village of Vík before returning to Reykjavík.
