Thisland.is is a trading name of Ítak ehf., a company registered in Iceland (Registration No. 541174-0369, VAT No. 20888), with registered address at Dyngjugata 3, IS-210 Garðabær, Iceland. Ítak ehf. operates under Icelandic law and is licensed by the Icelandic Tourism Board.

Some services may be provided by third-party suppliers (for example accommodation providers or activity operators). Where third-party suppliers are involved, their terms and conditions may apply. Ítak ehf. will communicate any material supplier-specific conditions in your booking confirmation where relevant.

7. Guest Responsibilities

Guests must follow guide instructions and safety requirements at all times.
Guests are responsible for ensuring they are medically and physically able to participate in the booked activities.
Guests must ensure they hold valid travel documents and any required insurance.
Guests are responsible for all personal belongings during travel

8. Limitation of Liability and Force Majeure

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ítak ehf. shall not be liable for delays, changes, losses, injuries, or expenses resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, pandemics, transportation delays, government actions, strikes, road closures, and other force majeure events.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

10. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Thisland Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Icelandic law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Icelandic courts.

2. Services

Ítak ehf. provides privately guided travel services in Iceland, including day tours and multi-day journeys. The specific services included in your booking are those confirmed in your booking confirmation.

3. Bookings and Contract

A binding contract is formed when Ítak ehf. issues a booking confirmation and the required payment (or deposit) has been received. The person making the booking represents that they have authority to accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all participants in the booking.

4. Payment, Changes, and Cancellations

Payment schedules, late-payment consequences, cancellation charges, and change policies are governed by the Payment & Cancellation Terms, which form an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.

All requests for changes or cancellations must be submitted in writing by the person who made the original booking.

5. Itinerary Changes, Weather, and Safety

Icelandic conditions can change quickly. Ítak ehf. reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, and activities due to weather, road conditions, safety considerations, access restrictions, supplier availability, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where possible, we will offer reasonable alternatives.
